• Register as a student advisor or RTO

• Connect a Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook calendar to your advisor account

• Browser type, operating system, and IP address
• Pages visited and time spent on our platform
• Cookies necessary for session management and security

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Schedule and confirm consultation appointments
• Provide migration pathway assessments and course recommendations
• Send booking confirmations and appointment reminders by email
• Create and maintain your student or advisor portal account
• Sync appointments to your connected Google Calendar or Outlook calendar
• Process payments securely through Stripe
• Improve our platform and services

4. Google Calendar Integration

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we request the following OAuth scopes:

• calendar.readonly — to read your availability and prevent double-bookings
• calendar.events — to create calendar events for confirmed appointments

We store OAuth access and refresh tokens securely in our database solely to manage your calendar events. We do not read, store, or share any other calendar data. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions page or from your advisor settings.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with:

• Student advisors — who you book a consultation with, so they can prepare for your appointment
• Stripe — to process payments securely. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/au/privacy
• Google LLC — when you connect Google Calendar, under Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy
• Legal authorities — where required by Australian law

6. Data Security

We protect your information using industry-standard measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Bcrypt password hashing — passwords are never stored in plain text
• Restricted database access with role-based permissions
• OAuth tokens stored encrypted and never exposed to the public

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by emailing us. We will action deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
